Smith 100108779 3” Temperature and Pressure Relief Valve is a safety part that is intended to protect HVAC systems, specifically water heaters and boilers, from over-pressure, and excessive temperatures. This valve opens and allows release of water for the predetermined temperature or pressure range that has been set to afford safety limit. It works on the principle of temperature sensitive component and pressure sensitive spring assembly.
